{110:1} When the help of God has come and the opening (triumph),


I suggest "in droves" instead,
{110:2} And you saw the people enter into the religion of God in droves,

{110:3} Then sanctify your Lord by praising Him and ask forgiveness of Him. Verily, He is ever Accepting of repentance.

The structure of "exalt with praise of your Lord" is closer to the Arabic than "sanctify your Lord by praising Him." Maybe not the wording, but the structure.

I get your point. My objection is that سبح does not mean "to exalt," it means "to sanctify someone from all defects." Thus, the translation challenge here is to correctly translate سبح بحمد which to me means "to sanctify by way of praise." So, let me sugest this translation,

{110:3} Then sanctify with the praise of your Lord and ask Him for forgiveness. Verily, He has ever been Accepting of repentance.
