The translation suffers from the same problem that many older translations have, namely the use of old English. It also has its share of interpretations and opinions. However, it is an excellent reference based on thorough research, both linguistic and religious. In particular, the effort given to finding the original meaning of the Arabic words at the time of the revelation of the Quran provides a valuable reference for this project.
