مكانتكم as "your position" because the word can mean location or status, just like position does.

"Enduring" is a good translation of
مقيم, but it has the connotation of patience, which doesn't make sense here. The semantic here is that of "lasting", so I suggest,
{39:40} To whom will come a torment disgracing him and on whom will land a steady torment."Quote:
{39:41} Indeed, We sent down to you the Book for the people in truth. So whoever is guided - it is for [the benefit of] his soul; and whoever goes astray only goes astray to its detriment. And you are not a manager over them.
