Quote:
{6:154} Then We gave Moses the Scripture, making complete [Our favor] upon the one who did good and as a detailed explanation of all things and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord they would believe.
I suggest,
{6:154} Then We granted Moses the Book, as completion [of Our reward] for what he did good and as a detailing of everything and as guidance and mercy that perhaps in the meeting with their Lord they would believe.Quote:
{6:155} And this [Quran] is a Book We have revealed [which is] blessed, so follow it and fear God that you may receive mercy.
I suggest,
{6:155} And this [Quran] is a Book We have sent down, blessed, so follow it and watch out [for God] that perhaps you may be granted mercy.Quote:
{6:156} [We revealed it] lest you say, "The Scripture was only sent down to two groups before us, but we were of their study unaware,"
I suggest,
{6:156} [We revealed the Quran] lest you say, "Verily, the Book was only sent down to two denominations before us, and we were of their study surely unaware,"Quote:
{6:157} Or lest you say, "If only the Scripture had been revealed to us, we would have been better guided than they." So there has [now] come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who denies the verses of God and turns away from them? We will recompense those who turn away from Our verses with the worst of punishment for their having turned away.
I suggest,
{6:157} Or [lest] you say, "If the Book had been sent down to us, we surely would have been more following guidance than they." So there has now come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and mercy. Then who is more unjust than one who has belied the signs of God and swerved from them? We will soon recompense those who swerve from Our signs with the most unpleasant of torment because they have been swerving.
